The warmer weather lately here in New England is just nice enough to keep me from realizing that Thanksgiving is less then a week away, how time flies. For those of you that have the tasking of hosting this upcoming holiday, I wanted to give you another simple fall tablescape that can easily be put together quickly and pretty inexpensively.
This Thanksgiving table inspiration mixes rich fall colors with metallic gold tones, incorporating natural elements of fruit, flowers, greenery, pine cones and these gold woven place mats. Add a few simple candles for that extra sparkle and glow on a clean crisp white table cloth and red holiday napkins. I love the idea of using this potted mum in a pretty container. They are inexpensive and oh so fall, and if you don’t want to transplant try covering the pot bottom with plastic wrap to keep the moisture out and cover with pretty wrapping paper or fabric.
The place mats and beautiful wood trays were purchased at Home Goods but if you have some around the house or matching thin platters you could create the same look. The trays are filled with fall elements that will barely cost you anything. The votives I already had but you can purchase them on Amazon (Gold Mercury Votive), and the rest is either from the yard or the fridge. The green apples adds a bright pop and can be eaten afterwards, where the greens are clippings from my yard as well as the pine cones. Just be sure you bake your pine cones first to get rid of any little critters at 200 degrees for about 30 mins on a foil lined tray.
These are from last year that I painted the edges with clear gold glitter after I baked them and saved with my holiday decorations. Its just gives them a little sparkle. The small pillar candles are on wooden coasters from Home Goods as well and you can get inexpensive red napkins on Amazon if you don’t have an already and great for the holidays.
I hope this tablescape has inspired you as you prep for the festivities ahead and give you a simple way to dress your table so you can get back to worrying about things like that turkey and geting together with friends and family.
