New Years Eve is here and I’m very excited to share with you a few things I did to make our house a little more festive for tonight that were pretty easy.
Holiday Book Club Get Together with Toy Donations and a Mexican Rice Bowl Bar Menu
The Holidays are already flying by that I haven’t had a chance to share this lovely little get together with you. This month I hosted our book club meeting which varies in size of participants depending on everyone’s schedules, offering a simple meal with a Mexican style rice bowl bar that had very little cooking making it great for a week night.
DIY Printable Thanksgiving Turkey Name Cards
Thanksgiving is a few days away as everyone prepares for house guests and food preparation. I wanted to share a quick, free, DIY printable table name cards that you can fill in the names, print, cut, and fold.
Thanksgiving Table Inspiration
The warmer weather lately here in New England is just nice enough to keep me from realizing that Thanksgiving is less then a week away, how time flies. For those of you that have the tasking of hosting this upcoming holiday, I wanted to give you another simple fall tablescape that can easily be put together quickly and pretty inexpensively.
Rose Gold and Gold Birthday Dinner
A few weeks ago I wanted to do a little something to celebrate the Birthday of a very good friend of mine. It was an intimate gathering that was very casual, but of course its still a celebration, so I felt like sequins and champagne were in order. A few friends came by for dinner, to celebrate our lovely Birthday lady including their adorable 8 month old son, joining us at the table but unfortunately not quite old enough for a piece of birthday cake. The table had no shortage of sparkle with this amazing rose gold almost copper table cloth: 60”*102” Rectangle Sparkly Rose Gold Sequin Glamorous Cloth/fabric for Wedding/dessert Table. The table was also flourished with some simple tealights that I found at goodwill and geometric lanterns.
Fall Colored Tablescape
Here in New England the colors are in full swing as dark red, orange and bright yellow leaves fall delicately to the ground. Although I dread it getting colder, looking down roads lined with a multitude of vibrant colors makes me appreciate the coziness of fall. When creating the tablescape for this large, casual family dinner I decided to incorporate all the beautiful colors. By adding two kinds of branches from the yard, not only being free but made the table almost have a foliage runner effect.
Fall Dinner Party
A few friends came over for a casual dinner and games, and given the time of year, I decided to add a few extra fall touches. I love white pumpkins, they are so lovely and bright but still very fall so I opted for a cream and gold tablescape theme filled with a large, beautiful blue and white pumpkin and small white natural and ceramic pumpkins with some added gold touches. The menu was very easy to throw together for a Friday after work with minimal time in the kitchen. Some apple wine and a bourbon pecan tart finished the meal into game time. Here is the dinner break down from the fall inspired table decor to the menu.
DIY Gold Wire Napkin Rings
I’m planning on having a dinner party with a fall theme as the days have become much cooler here in New England. Most the table decor I am planning has a lovely neutral gold and cream color scheme. I wanted to include napkin rings in this tablescape but I only have silver ones and if your getting more then six or eight of them it can add up quickly, so decided to DIY and make some.
