I think first year birthdays are just the sweetest. You can have fun with some adorable themes, look back at how immensely little ones have grown, and watch their little fingers get into all that frosting on their cake. Close friends were celebrating their son’s first birthday (could he be an cuter), with a small family gathering that I offered to help put together the decorations for. Like most parents I’m sure, they felt their first year of parenthood and watching their son grow had been their greatest adventure and wanted to encourage their son to have many adventures of his own, so this became the theme.
