I scream you scream we all scream for…Popsicles!
Nothing says summer like enjoying a frozen treat on a warm day, so throwing a popsicle party was perfect for my nephews shared birthday party this year. Time flies as they have become another year older but so fun to celebrate with them. This popsicle theme was easy to put together, loved by both boys and girls and all ages. The best part is popsicles come in so many fun vibrant colors and makes it really easy to serve a large crowd in a cooler as opposed to scooping ice cream and having to get all the toppings. With this popsicle party theme, you don’t even need an occasion other than celebrating summer!
Popsicle Party Garland
This garland was fun to make and I adhered to a similar scheme of mint, yellow and pink. It’s hard to see in this photo the colors since the light was shining through behind the window. This banner was made with colored felt but could easily be made with paper as well. There is a base piece that is the popsicle backing and sticks and it mirrored image met at the top portion that is then folded over to make two identical layers with the fold at the top to accommodate the string. Then the colors are glued to the front. I made this with my Cricut Maker and can use my template to make your own for Free out of felt or paper, or paper for other Cricut machines. If you want to print and cut it yourself Click Here for the Free PDF.
Popsicle Table Runner
This table runner is fun and vibrant with colors that tie into the garland. I made this runner from fabric purchased at Fabric.com and is made by Windham Fabric called Sweet Treats Popsicle in blue.
Popsicle Photo Backdrop
I love having a nice clean backdrop for party photos. This backdrop is actually a flat sheet from The Company Store. I then sewed three loops from grosgrain ribbon at the top and used large command hooks to hang it. This turquoise tassel garland and stay cool sign made with my Cricut added something extra for photos. Birthday props are the last thing needed for these popsicle party memories.
