The Peter Rabbit inspiration continues to hop through The Well Dressed Table with more details on this first birthday party. This Peter Rabbit theme is easy to decorate with garden and bunny inspired touches just in time for Easter decor to be out, spread across the dessert table, a station for apps, and places for guests to eat.
The Dessert Table
The dessert table has an adorable bunny treats wooden sign purchased at Michael’s while below is a celebratory birthday banner. Handmade by the proud mama who also has an amazing Etsy shop called Wool and Petal, laid out on servers are various garden inspired treats of dirt cups, and carrot cake and an extra big smash cupcake holding a Peter Rabbit figure. You’ll want to stay tuned for the next post to see how much fun the birthday boy had smashing his yummy cake.
Nibbles
A burlap runner on he kitchen island makes a great place for smaller starters. This bunny and pom pom garland is adorable and was purchased inexpensively while tying in the theme. Personal sized bites like these veggie ranch cups are perfect for keeping people moving and accessible to everyone without causing too much traffic in one space.
Table Decorations
Dining tables were adorned simply with a blue gingham table cloth and one with a bunny print. The centerpieces go beyond traditional flowers, while being inexpensive and completely reusable. Fresh market veggies are arranged on decorative straw in rustic wooden containers tying in the garden theme. After all, Peter Rabbit did get into a lot of trouble trying to eat more veggies. The narrow wooden boxes are versatile and have plastic liners for plants, from Joss and Main purchased in a package of two. These little touches are easy to put together while keeping in mind the story.
